Across the country and around the globe there is a new kind of movement against the Harper Conservatives.
Uniting to Defend Democracy Idle No More World Day of Action Rally Gather across from I-Hos Gallery on Dyke Road 12:00 pm Monday, January 28, 2013
As a Council of Canadians supporter, you are invited to join this peaceful rally to demonstrate our unity against the Harper agenda.
On Monday, January 28th our federal parliament resumes sitting. Outside parliament and in cities across Canada, Common Causes , a new national peoples network uniting communities, labour, environmental, social justice and Idle No More will be launched to stand up for Canadian democracy and for a better future for all. This is just the beginning!
Common Causes is an assembly of social movements dedicated to defending democracy, the environment, and human rights. In keeping with the values of the significant majority of peoples who reside in Canada, Quebec, and on Indigenous lands, we will provide alternatives to the current Conservative government’s agenda. We believe that coordinated action is needed to take a strong stand against this agenda. We invite you to join our community of local, regional, and national movements and individuals to work together for the change we need.
